Location
We celebrate at Café Botanika and hope for a beautiful late summer day
beneath the trees. There is a lot of room for kids and adults to run
around. Please bring any sports paraphernalia, musical instruments or
any other implements you enjoy at a party.
The indoors area is compact and cozy, so we hope to extend our
celebrations to both inside and outside. Remember to pack an extra
sweater in case September ends up being a little cooler this year.

Our appointment is at 10 in the morning.
We are going to have lunch with our families following the formalities and then would love to explore Freising with you, get in touch when you arrive.
You can also join a WhatsApp group to see what other guests are up to. When joining, a quick approval from the Wedding Committee™ is required, just to keep the bots out.

Accommodation
Freising is a middle-sized town with a variety of accommodation options. We mention some options here, but feel free to choose any other accommodation!
Hotel
We have organized a contingent at the Marriott in Freising. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from our apartment, and a 20 minute walk from the wedding location. If you book through our contingent, the price is a bit cheaper than normally, but please note that the booking is also less flexible, with a charge when canceling on short notice. So if you think that you may want to skip our wedding last minute, feel free to book directly with the hotel or your favorite international intermediary.
Single rooms are 89 EUR,
double rooms are 109 EUR. Breakfast
is included.
This option is no longer available now.
Dorm Rooms
We have also reserved rooms in the Deutsche Lehranstalt für Agrartechnik. It is right down the hill from the wedding location, only a 10 minute walk (5 minutes when going down). This is not a hotel, but normally acts as student accommodation for young people who are training to become gardeners. We have visited on site and found the rooms to be simple but adequate. This place is affordable and just around the corner.
There are 16 rooms with two beds (39 EUR per person) and 8 rooms with three beds (26 EUR per person). As both are normally dorm rooms, all beds are single beds.
Sorry, but we won't be able to use the elevator.
You can find details about pricing and see photos of their rooms on the DEULA website. If you would like to stay here, you can contact DEULA’s Patrick via email.
For picking up the keys on Friday, please send us a message and we can meet you or have someone meet you. If you arrive on Saturday, we will keep your keys with us at the venue. You can pick them up there, or call us anyway to arrange something else.
Campervans
It is possible to spend the night in a campervan close to the venue. If you would like to use this option, please let us know!
Gifting
Your greatest gift is coming all the way to celebrate with us!If you can and want to give beyond this gift, we would be grateful for a little contribution to our trip to Australia later this year.
Travel
Train
To get to Freising by train, you are most likely going to go to Munich first. From Munich, there are regional trains (RE) and urban railway (S-Bahn, line 1).
The RE trains are a bit faster but often overcrowded. The S-Bahn takes a little longer, but is usually less busy. Attention: The S-Bahn is split at Neufahrn, one half of the train goes to the airport, the other to Freising.
The German railway company is Deutsche Bahn.
Plane
If you are coming from very far away, Freising is kind of conveniently located near Munich's airport (MUC). There is an hourly regional train to Freising, as well as bus line 635 every twenty minutes.
Car
Honestly, we think you'll probably use turn by turn navigation if you come by car. But as we give some hints for the other modes of transport, we would feel bad to not at least tell you that Freising is reachable via Autobahn A92.
Bike
Freising can be reached by bike from Munich, a pleasant 2 hour bike ride along the Isar. From other directions it can be rather hilly!
RSVP
You can reach us in any way you normally do, or write to both of us at [email protected] or separately at [email protected] and [email protected].
We would be delighted to have you with us in September!
